We offer classes from the age of 3 years, teaching the syllabus of the Royal Academy of Dance from Pre-Primary (approx the age of 5) through the Grades up to and including Grade 8. The early years classes are non-syllabus, fun, and imaginative classes working towards technique and control.
We also offer classes in the Vocational Levels from Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2. These levels introduce and develop pointe work. All levels of Graded Ballet include core stability training and stretching as well as fundamentals and vocabularly training.
The Early Years and lower level Grades classes are taught by Kathryn, Clare and Jenn. Higher Grades and Vocational Graded Levels are taught by Amely and Jenn. Please see Timetable for precise times. Contact us via email or send us the Enrolment form for fee information and appropriate class placing.
Jazz and Tap classes are offered at all levels from 4 years and above. These are predominantly non-syllabus technique classes to broaden the vocabulary and ability. These classes also include conditioning, strengthening and stretch work.
Today's dancers need to be able to embrace all styles of Commercial, Lyrical and Street styles and we believe that by offering this sort of class students develop into adaptable and versatile performers. We also offer the opportunity to gain IDTA examinations and Medal Awards in both Tap and Jazz genres.
We are delighted to offer weekly contemporary technique classes taught by Grace and Lauren. These classes are held on Saturday Mornings from 11am - 1pm. Classes are available to students from Year 4 (approx 8 years old) to Advanced and offer sound technique with strength and conditioning work, with opportunities to perform also offered. We believe that these classes provide our students with a valuable ‘extra string’ to their bow.
We have had many students successfully audition for both HFCYDC and Propeller training and performance scheme.
