I began ballet classes at the age of 3 with Josie Tresise, where I first met Kathryn. Following in her footsteps, I took part in festivals and competitions throughout the southwest and performed at The Edinburgh Festival. I eventually joined Bevlyn Dance at the age of 12 where I met Amely and a long friendship began.
I successfully gained a place at The Royal Academy of Dance in 1995 (a few years after Amely and Kathryn!) and graduated with BA(Hons) In The Art and Teaching of Ballet and Licenciate of The Royal Academy of Dance. Whilst there I also gained ISTD teaching qualifications in Modern and Tap dance.
I briefly came back to Cornwall to teach but I soon returned to London to teach in and around southwest London and Surrey, before opening my own dance school “Hamilton Dance”.
Now married and with 3 young children, the lure of the “Cornish life” has finally brought me home. Having enjoyed some quality family time away from teaching, I am delighted to now be joining the KR team and teaching alongside old friends.
