Intermediate Foundation

This is the first level in the Vocationals system. (Level 2 on the National Qualification Framework and elegible for UCAS points.) At KR Dance we select the students who are physically and technically ready to take on this level of work. Classes incorporate the usual components of class - barre, centre work and Allegro. Variations are also learnt as a solo performance and also Pointe work is introduced after approximately 3- months depending on the individual. Students are regularly given the option to enter for the exam on an individual basis.

Intermediate

This is the second of the five available levels in the Vocational Grades System. Classes include Barre, Centre and Allegro plus Pointe work and Variations. More vocabulary is introduced and the technical requirement increases with the increase in the content of the exercises. This level is the base requirement to be able to do Teaching Exams, and/or to enter to dance training in a full-time capacity.

Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1 and Advanced 2

Advanced Foundation, 1 and 2 are the third, fourth and fifth in a suite of six levels, They are placed at Levels 3 and 4 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). Classes further develop the Classical vocabulary and technical ability and also increase the amount of pointe work. Variations are performed on pointe. These Levels are a benchmark that is recognised by further education establishments and professional training and are the pinnacle of the Syllabus Work of the RAD.
