About Us
At KR Dance, we believe in nurturing both solid technical skills and a love of dance — qualities each student can carry with them throughout their lives. Our teaching blends discipline with creativity, structure with warmth and artistry with safety, creating a space where every dancer can truly thrive.
KR Dance is led by Kathryn along with Clare and Amely — lifelong friends and colleagues who began their dance journey together in Cornwall. All three are graduates of the prestigious full-time training at the Royal Academy of Dance in London and hold the highly respected Licentiateship of the RAD (LRAD).
With over 30 years of teaching experience, alongside continual CPD training, we bring a wealth of knowledge in Classical Ballet. Our expertise extends beyond technique — incorporating anatomy, physiology and musicality to ensure every dancer learns safely, confidently and with artistic expression.
We currently offer ballet classes from Nursery age through to Advanced Vocational Ballet, as well as our popular Silver Swans programme for older learners. All students are prepared and entered for RAD examinations where appropriate as well as being given the opportunity to perform in dance productions.
Our focus is always on both enjoyment and attainment, encouraging confidence, resilience and a lifelong love of dance in every student.
